It is weird getting to the car park, you keep going around in ever-decreasing circles. Confusing but fun. 😆 The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the atrium restaurant is fabulous. All of the staff are very friendly and helpful, a young waiter and waitress particularly so at dinner (I should have noted their names for a shout out). Be sure to pay for parking in the hotel, not at the machines outside. Getting out of the car park was ever-increasing circles. 😆 The tram to the centre of Gent is 100 m behing the hotel, €3,00 each way as at June 2025.
Frequent visitor to this hotel, my home away from home. Love their service, they accommodate most of the requests and are very friendly. For instance - Sandy, in the Restaurant section made my breakfast and evening eat out session very comfortable and memorable.
We stayed at this hotel recently and, sadly, the experience was quite disappointing. The entrance to the car park (through IKEA) is very poorly signposted – we missed it the first time and had to circle back, which was frustrating after a long journey. When we booked and again at check-in, we specifically requested a baby cot. We were told it would be ready in the room – but it wasn’t. Nobody mentioned at any point that there wouldn’t be space. When we raised the issue, staff did their best and removed a table and chair to squeeze the cot in. I asked if we could move to a larger room, but was told there are no bigger rooms available at all, which is surprising for a hotel advertising “family” rooms. The sofa bed was very flimsy and felt unstable. The phone in the room didn’t work either, so we had to go down to reception for anything we needed. The hotel is currently under renovation, which we weren’t made aware of when booking. It added to the overall sense of disorganisation and lack of comfort. On the positive side, the staff were friendly and tried to help, and the location is convenient with a tram stop nearby. Still, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel at the moment – it’s not well set up for families with small children, and the overall experience was not up to standard.
