Holiday Inn Johannesburg Airport by IHG

Just arrived at this hotel this afternoon and had a fantastic experience so far! The staff were super helpful and friendly, making our check-in a breeze. We were treated to a lovely coffee with almond milk on arrival, which was a lovely touch. And dinner was absolutely exceptional - exceeded our expectations in every way!

I've been an IHG Diamond Elite member every year since 2019 and have spent over 300 nights at over 100 different Holiday Inn properties across over 10 countries across 4 continents. However, no where have I felt the quality of service that I did at the Holiday Inn Johannesburg Airport. From the moment I checked in with Colenn at the front desk, through dinner and breakfast, until check out, the staff was exceptionally professional and courteous. Every staff member would greet us as we passed by. During meals, they would routinely check in and make sure we were satisfied. During dinner, on duty manager William came by to check in on our stay and meal and joined us for a wonderful conversation. The hotel was newly renovated, dinner was delicious and very cost effective (huge serving sizes), breakfast buffet was wonderful as well. It was conveniently located near the airport and had an airport shuttle as well.

The best part is they offer free shuttle service from airport to hotel and hotel to airport. It runs almost every hour. Once you come out from the airport it’s just a short 1 min walk to the his terminal and you can see the free shuttle service. Room is basic, love that they use reusable shampoo but they forgot to refill it. You can hear noises from the corridor if you have noisy neighbours it’s hard to sleep.
