We recently stayed at this hotel, and overall, it was an okay experience. The room was clean and comfortable, with a small freezer, which was a convenient addition. The staff were friendly, and while the amenities were functional, nothing really stood out as exceptional. The best part is that it’s pet-friendly, which definitely earned it the 5-star rating from us. The location is about a 5-6 minute walk to McDonald's, but the surrounding area was a bit darker and quieter. It’s a solid option for a simple stay, especially if you're traveling with pets, but don’t expect anything too special.
Pros: The lobby is super spacious and cozy. The staff at the counter was really friendly and helpful. The location is great, it’s isolated but also close to other shops like Aldi, Eudeka, and Jysk. Our room had an open space, which was really relaxing. And let’s not forget about the buffet at Holiday Inn, it’s always delicious! Cons: The toilet was a bit cramped, and the lift was too small.
The hotel's room was clean and well-maintained, providing a comfortable space to relax after a day of activities. Situated in a quiet area, the hotel is within walking distance to the Taufkirchen S-Bahn station, offering easy access to Munich's city center. Further more there are supermarkets around and some shops. The breakfast buffet had a wide selection of food . With no doubt, breakfast was great and everything was fresh and nicely presented. The highlight in breakfast was a fresh made omelette 🍳, ordered upon request, prepared perfectly by a very nice and attentive lady. While the room was clean and spacious, the overall decor felt in need of modernization to meet contemporary expectation. ✔️In conclusion, the Holiday Inn Munich – Unterhaching offers a comfortable and convenient stay, particularly suited for families, groups and travelers seeking a quieter location with easy access to Munich. While the decor could use some updating, the hotel's amenities and service make it a worthwhile choice for visitors to the area.
