What a very pleasant experience! My partner and I booked in for a treatment, sauna, swim and food. We were greeted by very helpful staff. We both then had a massage which was the best we've experienced by far! All facilities were immaculate and all staff were extremely friendly. The food was delicious! We want to mention Kai personally, he was our waiter and what a credit he is to the team! Very polite and friendly, an absolutely lovely young man. We will definitely be back!

One of the best Holiday Inns I've stayed at. The rooms are very nice and well equipped. Staff are wonderful and the facilities are excellent. The bar, longer and restaurant are spacious and comfortable, there's a good choice of meals for vegetarians and vegans as well as meat eaters. The leisure club is wonderful, a nice pool, sauna, jacuzzi and steam rooms,.I always use them when staying here. Easily accessible from anywhere in the North East, just off the A1 and A19, good transport links. Overall, for this hotel: It's great!

My husband and I stayed one night as a pit stop while heading to Scotland. I booked a premium room that was located on the ground floor. It wasnt anything fancy but good value for money! (£100 per night). The bed was comfortable, and apart from a bit dust on the furniture, the room was clean, well presented and spacious. We had a few drinks in the bar and then dined in the restaurant area. The restaurant menu is poor! If we had known this, we would have ate at the bar, as there was more/better options! Our food was ok, the pizza was slightly undercooked (Soft, doughy base) and had too much cheese on it. The burger had a very strange dill mayo on it, which didn't really go well with the meat. The fries and onion rings were good though! The prices for food and drinks is quite high, (£6.80 a pint and £18 for a mediocre burger 😬). What really made us feel uncomfortable was the general atmosphere in the bar/restaurant areas. We over heard complaints being made about the kitchen/food, and the staff just seemed very tense and frigid when they had to engage with us, which made us feel on edge and a nuisance to them. Overall, the room was a good price but we probably wouldn't return due to bar/restaurant.
