Holiday Inn Nice by IHG

If it were not in Nice, I would have said you pay more than you get in return. But it’s in Nice! The location was great and very close to different attractions and restaurants. The view was beautiful and the staff - except for one - were very helpful. The breakfast was ok.

We had a pleasant experience for the most part at this hotel, which is the reason for 3 stars. The staff at the breakfast was kind and helpful, and so was the cleaning lady on our floor Antonia. However, when my partner went to the front desk at 7:30 to ask why the gym was closed, the receptionist was extremely frustrated and said the gym opens at 8:30. My partner said, correctly, that it’s written on the gym’s door that it opens at 6:30 (or maybe it was 6:00). He ended up saying to the receptionist not to worry about it and ended up not using the gym. Also, the hotel doesn’t have its own parking lot, so we had to park in the Indigo parking that’s in the same building as the hotel. Our car window was smashed into in that parking lot we were suggested to use. The same receptionist that was there in the morning of the 5th of August was not proactive in helping us at all despite us. We understand it’s not the hotel’s property but we would expect at least a gesture to help us out in this unpleasant experience.

There was bloodstain on the hotel bed sheet and unknown hair in the bathtub drain. The room cleaning staff threw away all the packaging and invoices of the Chanel bag and Balenciaga shoes we bought without asking us at all! But they didn't throw away the garbage bags we used. We reported the problem to the hotel, but they didn't offer any compensation or even an apology! The luggage storage service was just to put our bags in a corner of the lobby with no security at all! Don't go there! If you are going to Nice for vacation, don't book this hotel!
