Holiday Inn Resort Ixtapa All Inclusive by IHG

Second time at the resort. If we came back we obviously LOVED it. The room, pool, beach and resort are all great! Room was comfortable, clean, good pillows, and amazing friendly house keeping. We were travelling with a 9 month old so having flexible times to have the room cleaned was so awesome. The lovely house keeping lady checked in on us daily and cleaned when it worked best between naps. Pool is super fun, lots of activities going on. Event staff are hilarious and engaging, bartenders everywhere offering out drinks, looking at you Carlos!! Beach is glorious, great for walking, always super clean and not too busy. I love the big waves! The shining stars are the food and the staff! Food stations for almost every meal. Omelette station in the morning is always 10/10. Lunch/dinner you can expect fresh grilled meats, I barely touched the buffet most the time (which was good too!!). Then the staff… just 11/10 incredible. So so many of them remembered us from 15 months ago!! So friendly, they really understand customer service! We love love love it here, see you next year!!

First time at the Holliday Inn, been a great hospitality 6 day reservation, food is decent 3 different areas of food selections they even offer fresh juice in the mornings, throught the whole day there is always food available, and drinks. Staff has been very great very welcoming and helpful in every way I asked questions and always with a good attitude. They offer events on weekends and activities every other day for kids and adults, 2 different pools with bar availability. 7/10 on all aspects. I've read some reviews of others and we'll some experiences are different and likes and what not but its a decent place i would come back. Hospitality was good. Thank you 😊

We were very excited when we heard good reviews on here and saw videos of this hotel. But unfortunately I have to say: the service was really bad. The waiters looked very annoyed to seat us and to serve us drinks. The place itself is big but very dirty. Let start with our suite, the smelled really bad like humid, but we thought ok maybe because of the hot location, but no I wish that was it, when time came to changing we noticed the floors were dirty when we walked barefoot and I saw a couple tiny roaches in the bathroom, decided to still give the place a chance. On our second night I woke up at 3 am because I felt som thing on my inner thigh, a dam 2 in roach was crawling up my inner thigh I immediately tossed the blankets off me and flicked the nasty thing off. I couldn’t sleep after that my anxiety kicked in and we still had another night left. We had ended up leaving the next morning b cause I couldn’t stand the thought of sleeping in this nasty hotel another night with both our children. Second reason for disappointment: the pools were filthy, when I say filthy it smelled bad when getting near the pools and once inside saw a lot of bird poop, dead flies, sand, foggy water and if you didn’t guess it, YES tiny cockroaches in the POOL!! The food was mediocre, not appetizing either, the lady serving burgers and omelettes wasn’t even wearing gloves and touching the buns with her bare hands, a crown kept flying in one of the restaurants and eating food straight from the salad bar, If none of these reasons are enough for you not to go here than be my guest and enjoy sleeping in bedsheets that smell of pee with cockroaches invading your room at night. NEVER EVER HOING TO ANOTHER HOLIDAY INN , NOT IN MEXICO OR THE US
