Holiday Inn Resort Phuket Karon Beach by IHG

We have the absolutely best time at the Holiday Inn Resort at Karon Beach, Phuket, Thailand. The hospitality started upon arrival: taking care of our luggage, refreshing cold towels, and welcoming topical drinks. Being an IHG member, we were upgraded to a one-bedroom villa; plenty of space for just two of us. The entire staff was FANTASTIC; we felt like VIPs throughout our 8-night stay. Thank you very much for the invitations from Abigail and Ning to the evening GM’s Parties for drinks, hors d'oeuvres, and game with prizes! The best parts of the Resort are the three swimming pools, fully equipped gym, and scheduled activities: surfing lesson in the lagoon pool, exercise classes, and other fun activities. Special thanks to the Recreation Manager (Ning) and his staff (Tom, Man, Nut, Kan, and Mint). The highlight has to be the Thai Boxing class with Ning and Nut. It was so much fun and good exercise; I never had a LIVE punching bag before! We are retired active seniors on “slow travel.” Karon Holiday Inn Resort is definitely the destination we will be excited to go back to. Within the Resort, we have everything we need to enjoy relaxing and fun times. We also aim to do a daily 2 to 4 miles walk. We found a 3-minute shortcut to the beach where all the typical beach activities (surfing, parasailing, jet ski, & etc) are. Walking to town was only 10 minutes.

The only thing we enjoyed in Phuket was this wonderful hotel. Being IHG member, we got an upgrade, we stayed in giant rooms. The staff was amazingly kind and helpful, we enjoyed the perks both for the grown ups and for our three kids. Three pools are really good, the resort is properly maintained and looked after. The breakfast is very decent, with attention to kids. The only thing which you should pay attention to when checking in into your room, is the proximity to the road, as it can be quite noisy, my kids were waking up each night due to roaming motorcycles. And also watch out for the moldy rooms with poor A/C. Also, the way to the city/sea is not very pleasant, as there's is no proper crossing. But these are minor things, we truly enjoyed our stay👍

The staff is extremely kind and helpful. We have been taken care of and welcomed warmly. I’ve had a couple of complains and the staff did everything to solve them immediately (thank you Dain!) which I really appreciate. The swimming pools are great for adults but also kids and there are a lot of activities organized in the hotel. We’ve stayed for 9 nights. The rooms are exactly like on the website. I recommend this hotel.
