Holiday Inn Resort Samui Bophut Beach

Whilst the hotel is situated perfectly near the fisherman market, we were surrounded by a beautiful broad-walk. perfect for shopping, restaurants, massage and beauty shops, and excellent relaxing nightlife. The hotel staff were brilliant, especially the breakfast service (highly recommended) under the management of Sam who did everything to make us feel comfortable. Pool lovely and hotel facilities were great. House keeping daily and front desk service went out of their way to assist where needed.

Overall Experience: We had a good stay – the location is excellent and the staff are truly amazing. Room: We stayed in room 6205 with a balcony overlooking the main area and the pool. Unfortunately, the rooms are not soundproof at all. We were traveling with a baby and could hear everything – doors slamming, music from the hotel’s evening events, and even noises from the neighboring rooms. In addition, there was construction going on right next to the building. The hotel never mentioned this in advance, and the drilling and heavy machinery made it difficult for the baby to sleep. Food: Breakfast was tasty, but the same every day with no variety. Guests: Around 90% of the guests were Israeli, which could be an issue for those looking for a more international atmosphere. Pool & Facilities: The pool area is nice but lacks enough sunbeds, and the floor is very slippery, which felt unsafe. Summary: I would return with family, but I don’t recommend it for couples or families with very small babies due to the noise and construction.

Rooms are new and equipped with what you need but they are very very basic. The resort is suited for very young kids but nothing much for the older ones (9+ years) food service is very poor and breakfast buffet is busy and messy. There’s plenty of delicious food but it’s just crowded. Rooms are noisy at night, street noise as well as corridors so it’s not ideal for light sleepers.
