Holiday Inn Shanghai Nanjing Road by IHG

I stayed here from 3rd June till 21st June. One of the best location you can ask for. This property is located at the very center of all the hustle bustle of Shanghai Downtown. I couldn't have asked for a better location than this. The rooms were big and the view was simply "wow". The food was also good . And my stay was made all the more special by the courteous staff of Holiday Inn. Here I would like to give a special shout out to Mr. MD Sameer Khan, who was very friendly and did make an effort to make me get a little taste of my homeland in China. And it was not just me, I could see that he treated every guest with warmth and courtesy. I would also like to mention Mr. Hans, who was the concierge. He was very proactive and helpful in resolving all sorts of issues faced by travelers. I am going to recommend this hotel to all of my colleagues and anyone in my family who visit shanghai, to stay at this wonderful property.

I highly recommend this hotel! The check-in process was fast and smooth, and the staff spoke excellent English, which made everything even easier. If you can, choose a room with a city view — it’s absolutely worth it. The location is great, just a short walk from Nanjing Road, making it convenient for shopping and sightseeing. Another highlight was their breakfast buffet, which includes halal options, making it accessible to a wider range of guests. Overall, an excellent experience!

The rooms are modern, clean, and adequately equipped, with some offering excellent city views—especially from higher floors. The hotel’s location is its biggest highlight. Situated directly on the bustling Nanjing Road, it’s just a short walk to the famous Bund waterfront and close to major metro stations, making it ideal for sightseeing, shopping, and exploring the city. The area is lively and safe, with countless dining options, from local eateries to international chains, right at your doorstep. We appreciate the friendly and helpful staff, many of whom speak English. The hotel also features a gym and free self-service laundry, though there is no swimming pool. The breakfast buffet is varied and well-reviewed, and the abundance of nearby food options means you’ll never go hungry.
