Holiday Inn Skopje by IHG

The hotel is quite clean and central the the main part of the city where all the shopping is! There is Le Grand casino attached to the building, excellent full breakfast like none I've ever had and the room I was in had a balcony with a sweet view of the river! Very comfortable stay! Small gym and sauna. Hotel is also basically attached the the indoor/outdoor mall and directly in the river walk with all the restaurants you can handle!

Comfortable Stay with a Few Disappointments I recently stayed at the Holiday Inn in Skopje and overall, the experience was a mix of positives and some notable drawbacks. On the positive side, the rooms are clean, spacious, and comfortable. They are well-equipped with all the necessary amenities, including an iron, ironing board, safe, hairdryer, and even a toothbrush and toothpaste, which was a pleasant surprise. The location of the hotel is also excellent — central and convenient for getting around the city. However, I was disappointed with the service and spa facilities. The spa is barely deserving of the name — there is no pool, and only a couple of small saunas. I was told by the staff to inform them 30 minutes in advance so the sauna could be heated. I followed the instructions and notified them 60 minutes ahead, but when I arrived, the sauna was still cold. As a result, I had to skip the spa entirely, which was frustrating and disrupted my plans. The gym is also underwhelming. It’s very small and lacks adequate equipment — it’s hard to even consider it a proper gym. In summary, while the rooms and location are excellent, the hotel needs significant improvements in terms of spa services, staff reliability, and gym facilities. I would consider staying here again for the comfort and convenience, but I hope the management takes steps to enhance the guest experience.

Good option in an unbeatable location, excellent value for money. Comfy and spacious room. There are a few excellent restaurants nearby (which I reviewed), attached is a mall with a convenient supermarket. The city centre is approx 10’ walking distance (along the river, very enjoyable area), the old town 15’. The airport bus stops just in front of the door, fast (30’) and cheap (€3,30). Overall a perfect stay, very recommended!
