Holiday Inn Stoke on Trent M6 Jct 15 by IHG

The room we stayed in for 1 night must have had the bathroom updated since last year. The room itself is in need of a revamp, especially the carpet. The hotel staff are so friendly and welcoming, especially the breakfast staff. The breakfast selection and quality of food is worth the room rate alone, this is something that hasn't changed since our last stay. We used the pool facilities this time and they were great. The pool was a lovely temperature for my baby and the staff member working there was very nice. Location is excellent for travelling to Alton Towers which was the purpose of staying here on both occasions. We will stay again.

Cannot fault the staff, who are all extremely friendly and helpful. The location is great as a stop off point on a long journey, right next to the M5. Rooms are a bit small but that's not a problem if it's just a single or couple for one or two nights. All nice and clean and everything working. Pleasant green outlook from the rooms. Evening meal is not great, though, so think twice about eating there. On the other hand, breakfast is outstanding, with plenty of choice of good quality food, whether you are a continental or hot breakfast person. All allergens and preferences catered for. In addition, help yourself to cereals with healthy toppings, and choice of breads with proper jams in big jars that you spoon out from. On the whole a decent budget hotel with great staff, dodgy dinner but fantastic breakfast.

The receptionist was friendly and Natalie from the kitchen area, was very kind and very good customer service. The location is amazing with superb view and peaceful, quiet, really nothing to complain about as it had ample car parking, good size play area for children with benches and EV charging facility. The hotel had facilities for gym, small play area in the hotel and swimming pool too. The breakfast was amazing as all Holiday Inns do, we are members od various hotels, so always have breakfast. However, the toilet at the reception was very dirty with no toilet rolls and not maintained. I had requested for plates in the room, but it was dirty. The kettle in our room was dirty, so had to wash it, the room size is a bit small as compared to the other properties of Holiday Inn and the room that was allocated to us, had houses opposite the room, so no privacy with the laundry bins kept right outside the room which wasnt pleasant. Overall, average stay but views were very good.
