Holiday Inn Swindon by IHG

Clean, comfortable, excellent service both at reception for check-in and at the bar/ restaurant. Reasonable food served with wide choice, and although I was in Swindon for a wedding and did not have my children with me, the atmosphere felt very familial with a toy corner. There was a wedding so it was quite busy and loud, but all pretty well contained and managed. My friend forgot her toothpaste and received a complimentary dental package. I enjoyed the teas and biscuits in the room. Again, the rooms were exceptionally clean. I would have liked to have better coffee at breakfast. I attempted to use the machine and get a decaf coffee but it kept sprouting water only. A well meaning member of staff got a decaf expression from a machine elsewhere but it was cold by the time it got to me. Otherwise, breakfast has some good options and was satisfactory, aside from this point. Even my cup of tea was not particularly hot in the dining room from the machine, as opposed to the little kettle in the room. Great job Holiday Inn!

Was apprehensive due to some reviews. We had a very good experience. No complaints. Lovely staff, comfortable rooms, comfy bed, evening meal good, especially pizza. Tasty breakfast. Bijoux pool, lovely warm water. Thank you.

Set in pleasant grounds on the south edge of Swindon. Rooms were comfortable but window sills and bathroom door could do with a little tlc. Nice shower and comfy bed. Staff were very kind and helpful, especially Max, behind the bar. The gym was small but more than adequate for a couple of 45 minute sessions. I didn't use the pool but it looked lovely. The breakfasts were very good with an extensive choice. One evening meal (included in the price of stay) was somewhat disappointing but the following evening meal was very enjoyable. A very pleasant stay.
