Hollow on the Square City Hotel

Amazing location in the heart of town and close to a lot of cool, funky supermarkets. Namhla was absolutely amazing at the front desk.

The hotel itself wasn't bad, rooms were very spacious and super clean. The staff were very friendly. The area was very rough, drug addicts and homelessness surrounding the hotel, not safe during the day or night, almost got pick pocketed, you just have to be on guard at all times so you don’t feel safe. Had to uber everywhere, even walking distance places because of safety. The laundry costs were exceptionally high so just google the nearest laundry mat which was a 5 min walk away and get a whole load done for less than a fraction of the cost. The breakfast included was promising the first day, had croissants, muffins, eggs, cheese, granola, coffee, turkey sausages….but we stayed there almost a week and the rest of the days, food was running out (even though we went maybe 30 mins after breakfast opening), cold food, same utensils for different dishes. When we asked the staff about the food, they would just say they ran out. It was disappointing. We did later learn that staff can make you fresh omelets at the back which was nice, but all other food was just out of stock, or cold left overs. Overall, it was not bad, but not great either.
