I went for food, opening night in the restaurant space of Holm House that is run by the team at Silures in Wellfield Road, Cardiff. Great venue, food and service. A lovely addition to the restaurant scene in Penarth.
Very nice place we really enjoyed staying in it and I e have a dinner at the restaurant very nice food and very good service
Not bad - the food is actually very good. We went pre-alcohol licence and thus took our own wine. Because there are too few ice buckets (which are on stands away from the table), they mixed up wines and topped us up with someone else’s. I was chatting and only noticed when they got to me. Our wine did then reappear. Not a huge thing, but not good on attention to detail. It is very loud. We were shouting at each other by later in the evening, as was everyone else.
