Great hotel in a prime location in Bergen, right by Bryggen (the old city). The breakfast buffet was one of the best I've had in many years of travel, and the rooms are fresh and remodeled. Our room offered a scenic view of the Bergen harbor. One note of caution -- this hotel charges hourly rates ($15+ per hour) for early check-in, even if it's just two hours before the official check-in time and even if your room is already ready. I have never seen this in my travels and hope they reconsider this off-market policy.

Great hotel our room was spacious with on the waterfront view near the edge of souvenir shopping and water taxi launch pads. Good size room with Close to food shops and pubs. Comfortable bedding, shower was a bit small. There is a grocery next door where you can pick up snacks, living supplies and limited (due to Norway's laws) alcoholic beverages. They have an in-house restaurant that serves breakfast -- which is good and has a variety of options for all taste palates (cheese, meats, cereals, fruits, breads, hot and cold options, coffee, teas and juices). They serve a light snack in the afternoons and have a moderate number of options for a casual dinner. We saw quite a few guests who appeared to be less like tourists and more like they were on business trips.

We had a absolute lovely night staying at Home Hotel Havnekontoret! We arrived a bit early because of the transport, however the reception was super lovely and let us check in straight away without additional charge (it was around 12:30pm that time) We really really appreciate and this really help us a lot and allowed us to refresh after the journey. They offer Breakfast and Dinner and we all enjoyed it really well. There are quite a bit of choices and the dishes are tasty in my opinion The location is also really good! It is literally beside the bus to the airport! There is one thing that we thought was a bit unexpected - we went for breakfast thinking the cleaner won’t come in between as it’s still quite early and we only gone for a little while. But we came back found out all the stuff have been moved and specially the personal stuff also been touched. This makes us feel quite uncomfortable and a bit disappointed. We suggest that you can put the “do not disturb sign” in a more clear place as we only found it last day before we check out.
