We had a lovely 3 night stay at Homewood. The room was spacious as we had booked one of the spa suites. The private hot tub and sauna was perfect. We could not fault the service, every member of staff was polite and helpful. The foot was fantastic, we ate in the Olio restaurant on the first night which was lovely and had room service another day. The breakfast was the highlight and was freshly cooked each day. The only slight downside was the air conditioning in the room wasn’t great. We will definitely return!
We came with our son’s dog for a short break, all of us were made extremely welcome. Dog bowls, treats and bed were made available to us during our stay. All the staff were super friendly and helpful. Our room had a dual aspect and was bright and airy & beautifully furnished. The food and drinks were fabulous as were the staff who served them. Housekeeping was efficient and friendly. We would highly recommend this hotel and we will certainly be returning.
We had high hopes for this hotel but unfortunately it did not live up to expectation. The service is good. The spa facilities are good. The rooms are not up to standard for the amount being charged. The first room we were allocated (Room 6) was unbearably hot and so it resulted in a sleepless night. We suspected this was because the room was above the kitchen, although a lot of people staying in the main house were complaining of the same. To the staff’s credit, they changed us to a different room with AC for our second night and our experience improved a lot. For the amount it is charging, the hotel should be providing AC, especially given that hot weather in summers is becoming the norm. Overall, for the amount we spent over the course of our two night’s stay, it didn’t feel good value for money. The food and drinks are overpriced and service is being added to absolutely everything (yes I appreciate it is discretionary). We have stayed at other similar hotels such as Dormy House, The Pig etc. and had a much nicer experience.
