Honjin Hiranoya Bekkan

We enjoyed our stay at Honjin. Very comfortable rooms with lots of amenities. Very friendly staff. We got very late reaching tokayama and they waited for us (English speaking staff) till we reached. Very thoughtful. Very nice and reasonable gift shop. The view from the to over looking water stream was very nice.

Where to start? What a beautiful, perfectly located, spotless, welcoming ryokan! Totally exceeded our expectations. I only wish we had stayed for longer! Every member of the staff was just outstanding and the facilities were perfect and comfortable. Make sure you try their sushi place across the street. Also loved the massage!

After our recent experience with this hotel, I feel it's important to share with others. Unfortunately, we were unable to make it to the hotel due to unforeseen circumstances—we couldn’t get a car rental and were traveling with a small child, which made things even more complicated. When we reached out to explain our situation and requested a cancellation or at least some flexibility, we were met with cold indifference and extreme rudeness. The staff were not only unhelpful but dismissive, bluntly telling us, "Not my problem." No empathy, no attempt to understand or assist us in any way. It was clear that customer care and service were not on their priority list. If you’re looking for a hotel that shows even a shred of understanding or flexibility in difficult situations, do not stay here. Their approach to customer service is appalling, and their attitude leaves much to be desired. I strongly urge others to think twice before booking here.
