Hopewell Private Game Reserve was an unforgettable safari experience that exceeded my expectations. From the moment my fiancé and I arrived, the staff's warmth and hospitality made us feel right at home. Our stay at the Buffalo suite was nothing short of luxurious, with stunning views and breathtaking sunrises that made waking up early a pleasure. Tim, our guide, was a true expert, making every game drive an exciting and educational adventure. His knowledge of the bush and wildlife, down to the smallest details like spiders, was truly impressive. Seeing a herd of elephants up close for the first time was an experience I'll never forget, and the food, tailored to my dietary needs (pescatarian & gluten free diet), was exceptional. The care and attention from the staff, especially accommodating my dietary restrictions, made our stay even more special. My fiancé and I made wonderful memories at Hopewell, looking forward to going back!
This was by far one of the best experiences in South Africa! The entire Hopewell team made our stay warm and welcoming. The game reserve is not as huge as some others but that’s what makes it so special. Along with Christel and Paulie we had very interesting game drives. Christel told us so much about the animals and their behavior. And Paulie showed us the different plants and told us more about the history of the reserve. Since there arent many game drives a day such as in big resorts where there are 10 cars driving around, the animals are not quite used to the cars and are still living their live which I love. I also loved how they are all a big family and take so much care about the eco system at Hopewell. The food was great also and the Athmosphäre sitting on the deck for lunch was wonderful. I would absolutely recommend going to Hopewell but also would go and see a bigger game reserve just to have to full experience. Thanks again for this wonderful time!!
