It has spacious room, the bathroom is well designed, and the amenities are fine. Although some extra charging point would be a welcome addition... It uses a traditional Kalimantan theme and there's the option to upgrade to airport view. The decorations are exquisite. The best thing about this hotel are the lobby, and the food. The lobby is very spacious with lots of tables and chairs, and you can get complimentary wedang jahe and some cakes! Breakfast was very delicious and they offer you lots of options to choose from while overlooking the airport. Last but not least, the hospitality of the staff are of top quality. Everyone greets you nicely, and they pay attention to the little things. Even though there are no swimming pool or gym... With the price you're paying, this is a very worthy option especially for a busy business trip or when you need a quick access to the airport.

Hotel Appraisal – Balikpapan Ultima Horison I recently stayed at Balikpapan Ultima Horison Hotel and would like to commend the excellent service provided by the front desk staff, especially Ms. Anggi. She was warm, professional, and very attentive to guests’ needs. Her helpful attitude and genuine hospitality made check-in smooth and welcoming. She truly represents the heart of good customer service and was a highlight of my stay. However, the hotel itself shows signs of aging and would benefit greatly from refurbishment, especially in the rooms. The room I stayed in had a musty smell, suggesting humidity issues or lack of ventilation. The decor and furniture also feel dated, which slightly impacted the overall comfort. With some renovations and attention to room maintenance, this hotel has great potential. Nonetheless, the dedicated staff, particularly Ms. Anggi, make a strong positive impression and are the reason I would consider returning after improvements.
