This is my third time attending a retreat at Horizon Village, and I absolutely love it—every time! Not only is the learning experience enriching, but the environment and service provided by Horizon are simply wonderful. The hotel offers a variety of room types to suit different budgets and preferences. All of my classmates were happy with the rooms they chose, which speaks volumes about the overall quality and options available. The grounds are expansive and beautiful, featuring multiple swimming pools, serene lakes, a mini zoo, a botanical garden, and a herb garden. It’s so large that I’ve only managed to explore about half of it! Thankfully, golf carts are available on call if you need a ride. Surrounded by trees, birds, plants, and butterflies, the entire atmosphere feels peaceful and rejuvenating—truly a retreat into nature. Given the scale of the property and the range of facilities, I believe Horizon Village is one of the best-managed hotels in Thailand. What makes it even more special is that it’s not only ideal for retreats and meetings, but also a lovely place to bring kids. The daily buffet we enjoyed was delicious and of high quality. The vegetables were organically grown right on their farm, which adds to the charm and freshness of every meal. Our retreat lasted eight days, and there wasn’t a single unpleasant moment I can recall. I’m full of appreciation for the management and their lovely staff. I truly enjoyed every bit of my stay :)
In mid May, I was there for the second time and I loved it as much as the first time. This is a VILLAGE indeed especially I had better room. You got everything - walking in the garden with loads of different plants, trees, cactus, bushes, and even some rare ones. I feel like living in a village with loads of places and scenery to walk around and look. If you don't want to walk you could get a bicycle or ask the staff to drive you around. There are lots of workers taking care of and maintain the village. You got to see the model houses of Lanna and other styles (it's a museum). You need to take off your shoes when you go up to view the houses. It's not too far from Chiang Mai downtown. And it takes only 15 to 20 minutes from famous Central Festival. I could write more but will stop here and encourage everyone to experience the place. There is no convenience store around area and my main complaint will be mosquito so go prepared with lotion or spray.
The rooms are amazingly clean despite having many wooden furnitures. It has very big compounds with more than 100 acres of greeneries. There are many playing grounds for children. It’s giving truly an unforgettable resort experience.
