We had a good trip to Lake Charles staying at the Horseshoe Casino. The room was adequate since we did not spend much time in the room. The casino area was a little disappointing though, as the crowd was minimal, but service was still quite slow to get a drink. We ended up at L'Auberge for most of our gambling since they were packed in the casino and the atmosphere was more exciting.

There's a lot to say about this place. Being a Caesar's property, I was expecting better, much better. Rooms were nice, but tons of spots on the walls, and doors just looked half done. Showers took about 25 minutes to get warm. Barely enough staff there to keep up with the little bit of customers there. Valet is also the bellman, which is surprising because they definitely had enough customers to count for the extra help. Casino floor was nice and big and bright. Gordon Ramsey restaurant was amazing. I feel like if they had enough staff there and the rooms were completed, this place would be a serious competitor to the others!
