The service was impeccable. Room is spacious, the ambience is tranquil and the activities (free sake, porridge,etc) adds charm to the stay. The location is really out of the way and would be better if you drive.
AMAZING lovely place. Don’t expect a busy developed town, it’s a quiet place. But that’s the loveliness. Would recommend renting a car to explore this place , half hour from hakuba, 1hr + to Nagano city. Was here during the week of heavy snow falls in Japan. Had a warm stay, food was excellent and onsen was so warming ! Just 10 mins reach to Jigatake snow and Kashimayari snow resort, both suitable for young kids. Also within reach to Omachi public Onsen just down the road from Kai. Would love to be back during Autumn!
The hotel is unreasonable, we are not able to change the number of people stay in the room which is non sense. This didnt make any influence for the hotel. They are able to add person but not able to change to less person even though we are still pay for the same room. When the staff explain the rule to me , she had bad attitude and just pushed the laptop to my face and ask me to read by myself. They are vampirism and they love money more than their customers’ feeling. I will never come to this hotel anymore.
