beautiful location and bath. excellent food.
Very Japanese. Cozy & relaxing. The food is well selected. A bit expensive.
Horai Ryokan and Villa del Sol are places of great memories. I heard that they were acquired by Hoshino Resorts, the name was changed to Kai, and the Horai Ryokan building, which dates back to the Edo period, will be demolished and replaced with a building designed by Kengo Kuma. But it has still been closed since 2019... I am also concerned about the state of preservation of Villa del Sol, the remains of the former Nankai Bunko Library, a valuable cultural asset. But this is Hoshino Resorts. I trust that they will respect cultural assets and look forward to our reunion.
