The accommodation was spotless and had everything we needed for a family break with our dog. The kitchen was well equipped and there was private parking right outside for up to 3 cars. A 2 min walk to West Cliff beach and approx 10 min walk into Whitby town. We had a wonderful time and will definitely book here again!

Fabulous location, just 30 seconds walk to west cliff. Lovely house with parking for two cars outside, a small balcony and a small courtyard garden. Comfy bed and we slept very well. But: Furniture is very, very cheap, the “wardrobe” in the bedroom is on its last legs, and the small armchairs are about to collapse. The balcony table and chairs (£60 on Amazon) are so rusty as to be useless, not a chance of using them. These items have been mentioned many times in other reviews of this place. Such a shame as if the owner spent a couple of pounds this place would be amazing with five stars, but as it is, only getting three sadly. Also not the cleanest of places - a pair of used tights behind the “wardrobe” and stains all over the lounge carpet are pretty yuk. Such a shame. We would love to come back, but these items need to be addressed first.

Having stayed here in September, to say we were disappointed is an understatement ( and yes we have photographic evidence!). On arrival, we were disgusted to find a used (faeces covered) toilet brush, a waste bin full of rubbish from previous guests. External maintenance was obviously lacking as outside was covered in weeds and the main balcony was covered in green "slime"! We paid £80 towards the cleaning in our total budget, so was very unhappy with the overall condition. Unfortunately because we did not complain immediately, I have been advised that we cannot claim any refund.
