This review is purely for the service of the hotel staff. We weren't able to stay in the hotel since it was already fully booked. Despite this, my partner and I had a great experience with the staff. We were unlucky with booking in Santa Marta and due to this had to find a last minute hotel while pretty much everything was booked. A staff member went with us and guided us to another area in Santa Marta and helped us finding a place to stay. Really great service! I can imagine if you stay at the hotel itself you'll also appreciate it from the moment you step into the hotel.

A room and a bed and a TV. That's it. No fridge, no water. Nice staff. Close to beach and restaurants. Expensive for what you get. Breakfast was included but just eggs and coffee every day, no variation.

I truly never write reviews but I do not recommend this hotel - the pictures make it seem much better than it is. The room was TINY, with NO windows, and smelled like smoke. It made my wife and I feel claustrophobic. There was no hot (nor warm) water in the shower and the water came out like a trickle. The bed was also incredibly small and hard - I never have trouble sleeping but here I woke up every 1/2 hour. We didn’t have the breakfast so I can’t speak to that and the staff was friendly. There is no Pool. The location wasn’t great either - it’s recommended to not walk to the left of the hotel because of theft and security. Seriously for the price ($45/night) there are much better options in santa Marta (with better locations, accommodations and a pool)- hotel boutiques and even hostels would be more enjoyable. Edit: you can hear EVERYTHING a going on in the hotel- people walking in the halls, opening/closing doors, talking in other rooms etc.
