An all-around successful stay! Online check-in worked flawlessly, and unlocking the doors via phone was super convenient. The breakfast was excellent—varied and delicious. Parking was also easy. The cleanliness, room size, and comfort were also excellent. Many excursion destinations are within easy driving distance. I would be happy to come back!

We can't even begin to understand the recent negative reviews. I think it's unfair to unfairly defame this beautiful hotel just because you're not familiar with technology. Our electronic check-in worked flawlessly; it was even convenient. A wonderful hotel with great charm and an exceptional ambiance awaited us. A big compliment also to the very friendly breakfast lady and the high-quality, lovingly prepared breakfast. If we're in Remscheid, then from now on we'll choose Hotel1782.

Positive: The hotel leaves an excellent impression in terms of cleanliness – everything was spotless and well-maintained. The rooms are tastefully furnished in a rustic style, each with its own character, creating a pleasant atmosphere. The garden is particularly beautiful, with some seating and a small playground. A Lidl supermarket and a gas station are directly opposite. There is ample parking, and the room amenities are also impressive: a large shower, refrigerator, coffee maker, and kettle provide additional comfort. . . Negative: Despite the attractive amenities, there are numerous shortcomings that significantly marred the stay. . First, the organization: The hotel has no reception – check-in, access to the room door, and communication are all done exclusively via an app or the browser. On May 21st, the app completely crashed – for at least 40 minutes, neither I nor three other guests could enter the hotel or our rooms. Without a working cell phone, you simply cannot access the hotel. . The service also left a lot to be desired. Requests submitted via the app remained unanswered: On May 19, I asked for slippers, and on May 20, I asked for bacon for breakfast – both were ignored. The breakfast itself was disappointing: mostly cold dishes, but the salmon was at least tasty. Unfortunately, the hotel does not have a restaurant. . The structural conditions are also problematic. The building's age is clearly noticeable, which is particularly evident in the heavily creaking stairs. There is no elevator, the hotel is not wheelchair accessible, and for taller people (like me at 1.90 m), the low ceilings and sloping roofs are a real challenge – bumping heads is a daily occurrence here. . Added to this is the inconvenient location: The hotel exit leads directly onto a busy street – with no sidewalk, which is dangerous for pedestrians. Even with the windows closed, traffic noise is clearly audible. The air conditioning didn't work as intended throughout our entire stay – even though it was set to a constant 16°C, the room temperature remained significantly higher (felt over 22°C). . Another point of criticism: The shampoo dispenser in the bathroom was broken and was only temporarily reattached several times – rather than repaired. . . Conclusion: If you don't have any particular expectations and just want somewhere to stay overnight, this might be fine. For everyone else, I recommend thinking carefully about this stay.
