Hotel Aeschi Park

Very good service and clean rooms. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We had an issue with one the rooms and they were able to figure out a solution for us very quickly. Great breakfast and the most beautiful location! Will be coming back again.

We stayed at this hotel for one night during the Niesen stair race and were extremely disappointed, especially given the steep price of CHF 350 for a night in a family room in a supposed four-star hotel. Despite breakfast being included, we had to leave early for the race and were told nothing could be prepared in advance (no to-go bags, no flexibility, nothing). The staff was surprisingly unfriendly and blamed us for not asking earlier, even though it seemed obvious that many guests would be participating in this major local event. You’d expect a bit of preparation or at least understanding from a hotel in this area. When we arrived, the reception desk was empty and we had to wait around 10 minutes before anyone showed up. Parking was also confusing and difficult to find (not ideal when you’re arriving tired and just looking to check in smoothly). As for the room: it was just okay, but far from what you’d expect at this price point. The bathroom was tiny, the door was broken, and there was only one sink for five people. One of the shutters couldn’t be opened at all, making the room feel dark and stuffy. Overall, the stay felt like a huge letdown — poor service, broken amenities, and zero flexibility. Definitely not worth the price, and certainly not what you’d expect from a four-star hotel.

4 Stars Hotel? Maybe less than 1 star. The furniture and carpet is about 40 years old,the carpet is stained, it smells very bad, looks like it’s been forgotten in time. This hotel needs to be refurbished asap, as their rooms are good size and they have nice floor plan, but it’s just too outdated…and the breakfast was terrible :). For the price you pay, I would say this is a terrible experience all together …the staff was nice though.
