The place is calm and relaxing overall. The extended spa with multiple options and treatment makes sure you are relaxed thru various aqua treatments. We visited for 2 nights as a part of a long weekend package - while everything on paper looked ok, the execution left much disappointed. 1. Very limited options for dinner, especially outdoor grill. 2. Movie played for kids outdoor under bright sun with a projector where there was nothing visible due to tremendous brightness 3. Most of the cocktails at the bar in the restaurant feel like mocktails / virgin drinks 4. While the overall sauna and spa is absolutely great, the paid salt cave seemed to be a clear eyewash. The paid massages are nice, though. 5. Rooms are ok but lot to be desired - intercom doesn't work, no toiletries other than soap, non existent tea/coffee options with room coffee maker. Am not saying the place is bad, infact its a nice place for a family getaway - just that make sure you pack a bag full of your stuff including snacks etc - especially if you are going with kid(s), coz half the stuff even on their ala carte menu isnt available and there are no snack bars / shops nearby.
Let me start by saying — this is not a hotel for a romantic escape. It’s more suited for families who want convenience and kid-friendly amenities. Children were running around the lounge area, and there are dedicated playrooms clearly aimed at keeping little ones entertained. The hotel has an aristocratic, almost imperial style — it feels like the kind of place where you’d rehearse ballet rather than unwind after a long week. The vibe may appeal to some, but it wasn’t quite what I was looking for. The interior and furniture are visibly worn down. In the room, I found a phone that didn’t work and a fridge that wasn’t even plugged in. Everything was clean, but the “old-world charm” has tipped a little too far into just… old. On the positive side, breakfast was a highlight. Delicious, varied, and they even had a fresh juice station where you can press your own apples or carrots. That was a nice surprise. Considering the price point, I was disappointed. The 4.6 rating on Google feels inflated in my opinion — it sets higher expectations than the place delivers
The hotel is nice enough, rooms were comfortable and clean and the grounds are well maintained. We came as a group for a relaxing spa break and spent most of our time in the spa, which had decent facilities. We all had treatments, which were nice. We did have a few issues: food at dinner was pretty rubbish- we were expecting a buffet but on the first night we only got a set menu, it was average (especially the cold chicken nugget salad starter!!). The 2nd night there was a buffet but this was limited and most of the food was dried up sat on the hot plates. Breakfast buffet was decent though. Other issue we had was with the noise at night- there was a loud party on our first night which went on till 5am.
