Just left this morning, and can honestly say that this place is amazing on all levels. The staff are wonderful, giving great service and ensuring all feel very welcome. The views are just incredible, and the general feel of the hotel is great. Breakfast overlooking the Mediterranean was joyful, and swimming in the pool each day topped off a great time. We will return. Thanks to the staff for a very special place.
An oasis of calm efficiency, almost everything is exactly as you want it. Beautiful lounge area, south facing terrace (heated if required) and comfortable outside seating. Plenty of staff on hand, all friendly and always helpful. Stayed for a few nights to get a break from a family event staged locally, not as peaceful as we had hoped as several people had the same idea. The hotel is built over several levels, so a lot of stairs once you leave the main complex. Everywhere is super clean and well presented. Rooms are generous, most with south facing balcony or terrace. The rooms are well appointed, nice bedding and bathrooms, the only complaint is the pillows, they’re soft and fluffy, but offer no support (foam?) which left me struggling to get comfortable in the middle of the night, some alternative in the wardrobe would be a boost. The breakfast is fantastic, such a wide choice on offer. The restaurant for dinner is decent, but not fine dining but more than (had gourmet fish menu one night that was decent) adequate for a few nights, the hotels location (part of its charm) means you can’t really go anywhere else without driving. There are a number of leisure options, nice pool, table tennis, volleyball/badminton, tennis as well as a little beach and the sea. There is a decent gym and a wellness centre for those so inclined. Also a number of kids play area’s, but can’t say I took too much notice. There is a nice walk (lots and lots of stairs) to another local beach where there are a couple of beach shack style restaurants and bars, but people who know say they get very busy with locals in summer, based on most tourists can never find them, but trek over is for able bodied only. So a place to relax, read a little, swim a little and take a costal stroll. Will definitely stay again, making sure next time none of the family are also here.
This hotel refused our request to sit and have a drink on their half empty terrace facing the sea because it was for 'diners' only. We were directed to a 'lovely' patio area out the back that was devoid of any breeze or view, which would have been too hot for our baby daughter to sit in. It was 3pm so outside of dining hours, hence why the terrace was mostly empty and it wouldn't have caused any issue for us to sit there and have a quick drink. Strongly suggest others avoid due to overly officious attitude towards guests.
