Hotel Airone

Great hotel, wonderful staff. The folks at the reception are very nice, helpful and friendly. The AC in the room was perfect and the breakfast was delicious with an outstanding selection of pastries and croissants. Also nice walk to the historic city center of Grosseto from the hotel. Highly recommend this place to those who happen to be in the Grosseto area.

Good location, breakfast and reception staff are lovely, rooms are made up everyday if you want. Breakfast is typical continental, but coffee is great. Rooms could do with being updated, beds are very hard, and cleaning staff have made racist comments to a member of our party. Wouldn't consider it 4 star, but the location and free underground parking make it a decent place to stay if you need to be in Grosseto.

Small rooms with no microwave or water boiler to make tea/coffee. Hot water is extremely hot. It burned myself and my fiancé. Difficult to find a happy medium temp as well. Beds are VERY firm (I don’t mind a firm bed but I know some people do). Rooms are cleaned daily. Cleaning staff is very efficient and thorough. Breakfast is free, but not very extensive. Mainly pastries (which are incredible), some scrambled eggs, extremely salty American style bacon, juices, yogurts, etc. the coffee bar has some of the best coffee in the city though. The younger lad at the bar makes an exceptional latte and cappuccino. Front desk staff are very helpful and very nice! Most of the staff speaks English. All in all, this is not an extended stay hotel (I was here for a long business trip). Definitely recommend for a week or weekend getaway though. 2.5 out of 5. I have decently stayed in worse.
