Our stay at Hotel AKA Alexandria was phenomenal! Our experience started with the wonderful valet team. They were prompt, courteous and genuinely friendly. Front desk staff was incredible as well but I have to give a special shout out to Isiah! I very rarely leave a review for places i visit but felt like I should after my interactions with him. He had such great energy and was so welcoming. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the restaurant and bar was amazing as well as the staff. We would have definitely stayed longer if we didn't have commitments to attend to, however we will be coming back that's for sure!
I try to stay at this hotel every time. I’m back home in Alexandria now. The staff is incredible and I feel more like I am coming home to a family than to a hotel. Marvin and Isaiah at the front desk are amazing as is everybody else. Ernesto was also wonderful and it was the first time I had met him on this last trip. I was very moved when Tsegaw, One of the Valet/Bellmen, helped me up to my room and asked me how I was doing after my mother‘s death. The time before, when I had been at the hotel a.k.a. Alexandria, I found out while there that I had lost my mother suddenly. He remembered and was very kind. I will say that I have been staying at this hotel for several years. In the very beginning, it felt a little more sterile, a little overpriced, and a little like they were trying too hard. Now it feels very friendly and warm and inviting, and the prices are where they should be in my opinion. I would highly recommend this hotel!
You can’t beat the location of this hotel, the old town is gorgeous. The hotel has a modern luxe aesthetic and I love the fragrance that they use in the rooms. So much so that I purchased the Oudh Geranium diffusers. That being said, the level of service could be better and small details are missing for example the second time I stayed here, the elevators had a musty smell and there’s no room service available. It’s still a reliable hotel if you need a decent nights rest in the area and I really enjoyed the breakfast.
