Hotel Al Cavallino Bianco

The hotel staff is super friendly and very helpful. Our group of 8 had to check out very early in the morning, and the staff started serving breakfast much earlier specially for us. Our room was nice with a balcony and a whirlpool. Some parts of the room were a little dusty and dirty when we checked in but overall still good enough. Hence, the 1 star less.

Staff is extremly friendly and tries to help wherever they can. There was a misunderstanding with the housekeeping staff which was solved quickly. The room is very spacious and we have a whirlpool bathtub. The cleanliness could still be improved. Location is very central and a lot of dinner/Bar options and the beach are very close by. The roof terrace offers an amazing view over Riccione. The staff even provided a breakfast on our departure date before the usual breakfast hours which we really appreciated- Grazie Mille.

We booked the “Family room 2 Adults + 2 Children” room but when we arrived the receptionist told us the reservation was for only 2 Adults and we had to pay an additional 30 euro to “make” the additional bed. We said okay for now and we would contact booking.com to inquire about the additional fee. *When we arrived to the room we immediately realized it was nothing like what was pictured on the site. There was an “additional” bed but it looked like a small sofa with a blanket thrown on it. The room was much smaller, dirty and smelled. *The top of the “tub” was stained and had what looked like mold. The water jets were dirty. Inside the tub was stained and dirty, I could wipe the grime with my finger. Additionally, it seemed like the tub was falling apart. The panel wasn’t secured and you could see inside the enclosure. *The floor looked like it was only cleaned with water and not even the entire floor. There was streaks in the corners where you could see it wasn’t cleaned. The baseboards had visible dust and grim on it. *The bed had some sort of stain on the bottom. The sheets had holes, lint and hair on it. They tried to cover the holes with the shower robes. It also had additional holes that looked like it was a burn. The headboard hadn’t seen a cleaning solution in quite some time. *The microwave was dirty and literally still had old food inside. The side table had visible grime on it and had clearly not been cleaned. *The white walls were dirty and had stains everywhere. It’s cool if you want to make the rooms theme all white but at least keep up with it. We stayed less than 30 minutes and canceled our booking. When we arrived we were greeted with a free water and coffee but on our way out they wanted to charge us.
