Hotel Al Ponte Antico

We had the most fantastic experience at El Ponte Antico! This historical hotel added an extra layer of charm to our stay. Our suite on the first floor had an incredible view overlooking the Rialto Bridge and the Grand Canal. We enjoyed sitting outside and just watching everyone pass by. The hotel was clean and charming, adding to its appeal. The service was impeccable, and the hospitality of Mateo and his wife, the owners, and the staff truly made us feel special. Mateo's wife warmly greeted us upon arrival, and Mateo himself was present during our departure with the private water taxi. Breakfast was delightful and enhanced our wonderful stay. I can't find enough words to express our gratitude and appreciation for this charming hotel, conveniently located near numerous restaurants and shops. Highly recommended!

Al Ponte Antico is nothing short of magical. From the moment you step inside to your departure you will be treated like family. Matteo came downstairs to invite us into the hotel with a tour from the terrace and bar to the fairytale room we called home for a night. The detailed decor is enchanting with a feeling of being from another time with the comfort of today. Breakfast was fantastic with delicious omelets made by Matteo and pastries that were out of this world made by Barbara, Matteo's wife. We enjoyed our time immensely and highly recommend this beautiful place for your stay in Venice! Thank you, Matteo and Barbara, for your hospitality!

We stayed at Al Ponte Antico for two nights at the end of March. We loved every minute of it. The staff went above and beyond for absolutely anything we needed and were always available for directions or recommendations. The breakfast was fantastic and the location couldn’t be beat. The terrace was a beautiful spot to enjoy your coffee in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening. The location at the base of the Rialto Bridge was perfect. It was always easy to find our way back if we “accidentally” got lost roaming the beautiful streets of Venice. The rooms were quiet and comfortable. Don’t hesitate to book. You won’t be disappointed!!
