Hotel Alameda Highline

We checked in Saturday night & it was a party basically. (It wasn’t like that the other two nights we stayed) It was different than what I’m used to, but liked it nonetheless. They came & refreshed our room everyday. The room was quiet & clean. The bed being on the floor was jarring at first, but grew on me especially the mattress was super comfy. The hotel isn’t for old folks for sure even at 30 I was like okay I could see myself not being into it in a few years. It’s definitely for a younger crowd. But I liked it still. The room definitely values athletics over functionality. The rooftop is super cute & the highline is nice to be so close to & the pizza shop around the corner was delicious. Don’t let the negative reviews fool you, just know it’s for a younger or more flexible crowd.

My friend and I booked Hotel Alameda very last minute, but it ended up being everything we were looking for. The room was clean, the bed was super comfortable, the AC was strong (a must in NYC), and the staff were incredible. I had read a lot of mixed reviews before booking, so I was definitely a little worried. But honestly, if you’re unsure, just look at the photos to get a clear idea of what to expect. The bathroom is small, but that’s pretty standard for New York hotels. The mattress in our room was technically on the floor, but it was still really comfortable and we had zero complaints. So don’t let the negative reviews scare you off. The staff truly made our stay even better. They helped us extend our booking, gave us a later check-out, offered a steamer for our clothes, and even stored our luggage for free so we could explore the city before heading to the airport. Every person we spoke to was kind, helpful, and accommodating. And the rooftop? The views were amazing. Just a heads-up, it’s only open on weekends and I believe it opens around 3 PM, so plan accordingly. We also went out one night and checked out the club and bar downstairs which had such a fun vibe. Overall, Hotel Alameda totally exceeded our expectations. Would absolutely stay again! Thank you the amazing staff we met that made our stay even better!

Great Service - oriented staff. A big thanks to Martin at the front desk for helping me out with an issue late at night! Really made a difference in my stay. Location is good, rooms are fine for a couple of nights.
