Hotel Alaska Cortina

We arrived last minute without a booking, but Niccolò helped us right away and even arranged a free upgrade that was perfect for our group of four. He was kind, professional, and made us feel instantly welcome. Truly excellent service.

This is no 4-star hotel, old and shabby. Faint strange smell in room and dark corridor. Banging noise from construction site just out of the window, to go on till the winter olympic. Inconvenient access to the hotel. Charging 40 euros per night per car for parking in the dark watery basement. Checked out immediately giving up the prepayment in full. Worst hotel for the rate during my 1 month travel in europe. Do not take this hotel. Its a rip-off.

One of the worst hotel experiences we’ve had. We found an old receipt under the blanket, clearly showing the room was not properly cleaned. The room looked nothing like the photos on Agoda — it was worn-down, musty, and even had an insect nest in the wardrobe. There was loud construction happening right in front of the hotel, making parking extremely difficult. They still charged us €40 per night for parking, which felt like a rip-off. The staff were unhelpful and indifferent. We tried communicating politely in Italian using Google Translate, but the receptionist didn’t even bother to read it. Overall, very disappointing and not worth the price at all.
