Our trip started off horrendously. Our room was not booked through a third-party service as they claimed they never received the money. However, the late night service person working the front desk named Christian not only assisted us, but helped us and served us through the entire stay. He saw our troubles and was able to quickly and efficiently resolve our problems, book us a room, and assist us with checkout. He made our trip and stay feel welcomed and heartwarming. Never have I seen a person at the front desk of a hotel be so kind and empathetic. The hotel itself was modern and really nice. The rooms were excellent, housekeeping cleaned up our mess really well, and the only issue I saw was that all but 1 of the elevators were down. However, I expect this at most hotels for some reason. Pool was great.

A group of us stayed here on a business trip for about 10 days. The location is reasonable, the rooms comfortable, and it has some nice amenities (Pool, pool bar, etc.) However, things look far less rosy when you see that you're staying on a high floor of a hotel with only one working elevator. I know the elevators were damaged in a hurricane/flood last year, but I can't believe they're worked hard enough to get them fixed. They might not be able to find someone in Tampa to fix them, but if they paid enough, they could get someone from Miami, Orlando, etc. to come fix them. That being said, their odd technical solution, coupled with a dedicated elevator, is probably the best interim solution. We occasionally has some longish waits for the elevator, but it wasn't bad and the operators were friendly. Twice in ten days the elevator was broken when we were heading down to work, forcing us to go down a bunch of stairs. Luckily, this never happened when we were coming back from work and had to go UP to our rooms. I was also very glad that the elevator wasn't broken on the day we left, hauling all our luggage. All-in-all, a pretty nice hotel, but it will look pretty cheesy until they get the elevators fixed. Other than that, the hotel's buffet breakfast was decent but badly overpriced for what you got. Either improve the quality and variety for the price, or make it cheaper (or free).

At first I thought I was entering a 5 star resort hotel, it quickly changed when I realized that the elevators have been down since last years hurricane, even though they were down to one elevator and had a elevator operator working off a doorbell camera system it wasn't bad and the hotel was pretty full. Parking in back was tight, you can't open your car doors all the way to get a suitcase out with how tight the spots are. My interaction with staff was very pleasant, I had drinks and dinner outside by the pool and they were good, SIDE NOTE they charge a mandatory 20% tip my bartender Brian earned that. My room was large, only complaint was no matter how cool I tried to make my room the thermostat always went back to 73. Location, trying to make a left out of the hotel can be a huge challenge most of the time.
