just had a week here with friends. 4 English men were a novelty as the rest of the visitors were locals ,Sebians etc. The rooms were lovely,we had the 2 bedroom suites with 2 bathrooms. Location was fantastic, near the beach, promenade and the kiosks for any supplies. There is a supermarket within the grounds also. The main pool is saltwater and there are plenty of sunbeds. Breakfast covers most tastes also,so in all, a very pleasant relaxing week in the sunshine.
The hotel has great potential, normal rooms, good location, swimming pools, additional services, but the service culture leaves much to be desired. And if the hotel charges full price for an "extra bed" for a child (12 y), then it should be a normal extra bed, not some outdated uncomfortable folding armchair.
RESPECT MONTENEGRIN LAW. Today at 6:00 PM, I was on the beach that near to Hotel Aleksandr. We stopped about 1 meter from the water to take a photo and enjoy the evening. A security guard approached us and said: “This is private property. You have 3 minutes to leave now.” We politely refused, as we are fully aware of the law of Montenegro, which clearly states: Access to the sea must remain public and cannot be restricted by private property. (See: Law on State Property of Montenegro, Article 11 , the coastline and beaches are public property.) After our refusal, we were met with threats of physical violence and were told we would be forcibly removed from the beach. We recorded the entire situation on video to file a report with the police. The situation then escalated into nationalist and political insults, including statements like: “You are fascists.” Security staff at this hotel aggressively drive away everyone who enters the beach, doing so illegally and without any legal basis. If the hotel management refuses to solve this, then let the police handle it. I sincerely hope that the hotel takes immediate action against the guards and beach staff involved. I frequently visit this beach. If any further threats or interference with my right to access the shoreline occur again, I will not hesitate to call the police.
