Hotel Alexander the Great

I recently stayed at this hotel and would like to share an honest review to help future guests set the right expectations. The hotel itself is quite old, and this is evident in the condition of the rooms and furniture, which are very outdated and in need of renovation. Due to the high noise levels, I would not recommend this hotel for families or those seeking a peaceful environment. It may be more suitable for teenagers or groups of young travelers. In my opinion, the hotel does not meet the standards of a 4-star property. However, there are some positive aspects worth mentioning. The food was plentiful and varied, cleanliness was outstanding — truly a 10/10 — and the staff were generally very polite and helpful. Special thanks to Ymeri from the kitchen and several other hardworking staff members from Albania, who were always kind and professional. Unfortunately, one staff member stood out negatively: Niko, who worked at the outdoor bar, was rude, arrogant, and lacked basic courtesy. Overall, while there were positive moments during my stay, I believe the hotel would benefit greatly from renovation and improved staff training in certain areas.

The service and staff in general very professional. The food was good for the price paid, especially the dinner. A big issue are the rooms and the sanitation of the bathroom. Since they are quite old, even though the bathroom might be cleaned the bad smell is still there. Elevators are too old. The room is not cleaned every day, even though it says so. Overall the experience was good, especially the Albanian staff was friendly and welcoming. I mostly recommend this place for young adults. You can take the bus nearby the hotel for 2 euros and go to Kalamaki, nice beach or 5 minutes from the hotel Also you can find different bars and restaurants 5 minutes from the hotel.

I’m travelling a lot! I was in over 70 countries. Lots of places. This one is THE WORSE ! I read comments before, I saw some of them are very negative. But I did not expect it to be that bad. To say that male receptionist are not friendly, is to say nothing. They are your enemies here that trying to get as Mach cash as they can from you. The best thing is when you pay for all inclusive trip, and once you arrive you pay for everything!! Even for A/C remote. 😂 When on promotion says that room equipped with A/C. Room quality is bad. Food is bad and not healthy at all. Lots of palm oil, moyo, and fat. Drinks on the bar taste like a soup🤮 The only Positive is : Kitchen and bar stuff is nice. I paid 1000$ for 3 days with Jet2. That’s 100 times more than its cost. Never will come here again!! Never! Even for 100$ So happy I’m here only for 3 days. Would not stay a week even if I pay for it. P.S. old soviet hotels deep in the country, now feels like a nice place for vacation for me after this hotel 👀
