Hotel Alexandra

I just woke up in my own bed. For the last 2 weeks, we called Hotel Alexandra home in Hong Kong. The room was quite spacious (for HK), our bathroom had an excellent shower with amazing water pressure (which I missed a lot last night when I got home). The ever-present staff were always ready to greet you and help if necessary. The hotel itself is gorgeous and relatively quiet. The subway system is available by using an overpass footbridge, less than 5 minutes away (buses and tram available here as well). Within 1 km you have many food spots, including a Michelin guide favorite Sister Wah. Snowy Savory has the best mochi! There are 7-11's close by, many tea cafe restaurants where you can have a fast inexpensive breakfast. It's actually situated in a very advantageous spot: as someone who's goal was to explore every corner of Hong Kong - this metro stop gave you quick access to the other metro lines if you needed to transfer. The hotel is beautifully decorated, and the AC was strong (which you need in HK). There's several laundry spots close by. Relatively speaking again, the overnight price at this hotel was reasonably priced at just under $1K HKD, or about $200 CAD. The breakfast options at this hotel were ok, unfortunately we didn't have any other meals here. I will likely book this hotel again the next time I decide to visit HK.

The hotel was excellent, offering us the best views and upgrading our room as requested. It was a luxurious, modern establishment that was neat and clean. The staff was incredibly helpful. I would definitely choose to stay there again if I have the chance, and I would recommend it to others as well.

I've stayed in this hotel multiple times in Hong Kong as it's good value for money. The location is not in the city centre, but very convenient with 5 min walk to the tram, bus and MTR station fortress hill. Thus, the city centre can be reached easily. Also of note, the bus A11 actually goes right to the airport, which is great. While the design of the hotel lobby may not be for everyone (theme: Alice in wonderland), the hotel staff is friendly and helpful with recommendations regarding restaurants and convenience stores. Furthermore, what is most important, the rooms are clean and quite spacious for Hong Kong. I was able to check in early, which was very much appreciated. It would have been nice to have some drinking water in the room, but bottles can also be purchased in the lobby or - cheaper - at a nearby 7/11. Overall, this is a good middle priced hotel for solo travelers, couples or families and I enjoyed my stay here.
