The staff at Allegro are amazing! They were incredibly supportive and accommodating when my colleagues and I were in Cologne for business. The rooms are quiet and it’s just a short walk from Heumarkt by foot. They still use a classic metal key vs card key for hotel rooms and you need to hand the keys to reception every time you leave the hotel. I would say the vibes are like staying at your grandparents who are very sweet. The points of feedback I would give is that showering in the shower and bathrooms often leaves puddles of water no matter what you do. Secondly, only deluxe rooms have a mini fridge so you can’t store any cold food safely. Despite these drawbacks I would highly recommend the hotel for anyone looking for a nice stay near the city square!
Quick visit to Cologne, so the central location was great for easy walking access. Modest hotel. Room very clean, bed comfortable and appropriately firm. Good bathroom, the room was overall well appointed. I would stay here again.
Our room was quite nice, the breakfast was stellar and the location was perfect! We very much appreciated the lovely, amazing staff and would recommend this hotel to anyone looking to explore the lovely heart of Koln!!
