13/06/2025 Back to Villajoyosa's wonderful beachfront Hotel Allon for 5 nights. We had the usual warm welcome from Mariano on reception, and lovely Pedro in the bar & restaurant. There were new staff including Jeray, a delightful young waiter, and a nice blonde lady. The restaurant food was great - plenty of choice at breakfast, delicious lunches and dinners with variety for everyone. I particularly enjoyed the addition of some purely vegetable dishes such as red & green peppers as well as broccoli. My favourite was the addition of guacamole which was a great surprise. There was also a divine chilled juiced melon & mint (hierbabuena) that was part of the evening meal one night. Spanish friends and I thought that the rice/paella on offer was delicious too. The rooms as always were spotlessly clean; a task that is well done considering that sand being brought in is inevitable. I noticed that this year they have done away with the small bottles of shampoo etc which is an excellent thing. I was pleased to see that there wasn't the wastage of any unnecessary items. 15/06/2024 Another 5 night stay completed and once again the Allon Mediterrania was superb. From the warm and familiar greeting by Mariano, even noticing my glasses(!), to the spotlessly clean room and bathroom as well as throughout the entire hotel, to the lovely waitress Zaira, and the newer team including Niki, Luciana and Karen, and great chefs, we had the best time. I'm hoping to get back later this year and hopefully again next year. 16/06/2023 Another 5 night stay just finished, as well as a 2 night stay the previous weekend. This hotel just gets better. The staff continue to be amazing - Agustin, Mariano and so many others. The food is better than our previous visit, with plenty of choice. I am so looking forward to returning. *** 11/2022 Superb 5 night stay organised by Estación Inglesa. From the welcoming reception staff, through to our wonderful spacious sea view room with a very comfortable bed and a large balcony, we were delighted. Our room was extremely clean, despite us being unable to avoid bringing in a little sand from the beach, most afternoons. Ten out of ten for the room cleaning team for their superb daily cleaning. The rooms were also quiet with no really noticeable noise from the corridor or adjoining rooms. The food was plentiful and tasty. The restaurant and bar staff absolutely fantastic - with a special mention to Pedro and Agustín. They couldn't do enough for us and are an absolute credit to the hotel. Although I didn't use the pool, it looked clean and inviting. I can't wait to go back to this great hotel in a gorgeous location.
We had a week here in may with friends who live in Spain. We were looking for somewhere on the coast we could get to using the Alicante Tram and Vila Joiosa looked just fine. Alleron was a bit of a mixed bag. The room overlooking the sea was fine, no complaints. The breakfast was ok but one member of staff made a lot of noise re placing plates etc and started to clear things away well before the end of service. However, the sunbeds around the pool were dreadful, sagging and uncomfortable. Strangely, the hotel wouldn't open doors between the bar and pool so you either had to walk back through the dining area to get a drink, but sometimes this was closed, so you had to exit the hotel from the main entrance, walk along the pavement to the bar then back same route to the pool - very odd!
The hotel is in a Nice location near the sea. However not representing value for money. The rooms have almost no powerplugs for charging the phone’s. No vanity kits of shower caps or toothbrush provides for a 4 star rating? We booked the for 2 days with full board. Breakfast is very basic and not special. The lunch and dinner very basic and menu del dia in the taverns around the hotels represent much more value for money however they charge 15 euro vs 25 euros in the hotel. In addition we had the New year celebration there with cold food served with moderate to poor service at 160 euro per person. Our daughter being 9 paid 80 euro and got a tuna pizza and chicken with French fries and we mentioned she does not eat fish. Sorry but this is not 4 star worthy.
