Hotel Alte Post

Toni & Maria (senior) / Toni & Maria (junior) and their teams at Hotel Alte Post & all the staff who looked after us were amazing. The service was always personal and friendly, this is a huge bonus for the hotel and we'd go back there for that reason. We had half board. The breakfast was delicious & always fresh, new options everyday. We loved the dinners & the presentation of the food was first class and always tasty. The hotel have a great service using #WeShowYouTheMountains, if you sign up to their daily hikes you'll be driven to the start of the hike, and includes a guide from the hotel. The hikes offered opportunities to meet guests which worked well for us. The Spa is very impressive and a great place to relax after a day of hiking. For us it was faultless. After a pan alpine oldtimer trip that ended in Bled Slovenia, we stopped again at Alte Post Hotel in Großarl. It’s always a joy and feels like coming home. Firstly they prepared a garage to park my ‘baby’, next -because it’s fun and healthy- we did two alm-hikes with the Alte Post team and one hike & bike. The food and service were awesome (as usual). Thanks again Alte Post team for a few relaxing and fantastic days! See you all again soon.

We were here during a street party/celebration and it was super nice. The menu card was small and the selection was good. We had the pork and the kaspressknödel suppe. Everything was really really good. The pork belly was nice and crispy, and the other piece of pork on the plate (cannot remember what cut it was) was equally nice. The sauerkraut was very tasty, same with the sauce and the semmelknödel it was served with. In general the meal was really really nice, and I was quite impressed. Service and attention was also really good so all in all 5/5. Beautiful location too.
