Hotel Am Hopfensee

we had a beautiful stay, we had a standard double room and maybe here n there is place for improvement nothing really to complain about. The spa is all right but altho we have been to several saunas the 90 - 100 ° felt alot hotter. Beautiful view over the sea and the mountains. Same from the infinity pool. The inside options to relax are hard to catch and we didn't check the Haman. Regarding food , we had a 5 and 4 course meal. The picture tells the story I would day and we both been enjoying alot. Breakfast is on the good side. Service was really nice as well with good drinks at the bar. They also brought up a nice gin recommendation.

We absolutely loved our stay at Hotel Am Hopfensee! From the customer service at the front desk, to the spa and massages, to the dinner and drinks at the bar - everything was wonderful! All of the staff were so kind and helpful to us Americans! The spa area was incredible with unbeatable views in the infinity pool and sauna! We did a 4 course dinner that was phenomenal. Each dish was very delicious. We hung out in the cozy bar area, with the fire place going and had great conversation with the bar tender and the hotel manager - who was just awesome and so kind! The hotel is in a great location for views and close to the Nuescbhwanstein Castle. Would absolutely recommend staying here for your next relaxing holiday.

We booked a "Doppelzimmer Seeblick+" (Double with lakeview+), which is the second-best room type of the hotel. The room itself was spacious and lovely decorated! The balcony offers great scenic lake views. The hotel's spa facilities and pool offer a great time and relaxation! Breakfast buffet is okay, but could be even better with a tiny bit more effort. The wasps however were a bit of a pest. The location is great for exploring nearby sights. However, for the price, there were a bit too many points of improvement. Foremost: the cleanliness of the room: we found more than 10 spiderwebs (including spiders in our room), which shows cleaning is done quickly and not thoroughly. WiFi-connection in the room itself was weak and failing. The absence of A/C in the room is unacceptable for this price range (especially during hot summer times). Sound isolation of the room wasn't good either; you heard people in the hallway, in their rooms, the water of their showers running, ... And lastly, while we were unloading our car and parked close to the front entrance of the hotel briefly, a waitress dropped an ashtray on the hood of our car from the above terrace, with a small dent and some scratches as a result. These things can happen of course, but don't make for a good impression.
