Hotel Am Schloss Köpenick Berlin By Golden Tulip

This place was just okay. There is nothing special about it. We had a room facing the street which lead to us not being able to have a windows open during the night as the tram ran its course right outside. The bed for two people was just two really hard spring mattresses with no mattress pad on them making them even harder. It being two mattresses also made a line between them in which you would fall inside, so it really is just 2 regular beds pushed together and not a singular bed. The mattresses also kept sliding of the bed all the time. We liked to sleep in but this was not possible because the housekeepers were banging on doors and shouting that it was time for house keeping even though we had put the hanger on the door that said no housekeeping and to not disturb us. Other than the bed and house keeping situation everything was okay

So basically the night time check in receptionist is an amazing and nice guy, but clearly the late check out request was not passed to the day time receptionist, or simply ignored(?). Therefore I was woken up two different times with rude knocks on the door although I left the SSSHHHHH sign on the outside of the room (like the nice receptionist told me to do). I understand the staff needs to organise the process but come on it would be great to respect your guests!

The room wasn’t really clean as I expected it to be, especially the bathroom. The bed, that’s meant to be for two people, but it’s with two mattresses, it was always moving out of the bed and ones I was about to fall down while I was sleeping. I didn’t felt any comfort at all. And let’s not talk about the TV, I was scared to turn it on. It looks too old for this money. Not worth it!!!
