Incredible value for money hotel with some of the friendliest staff I've ever encountered. The rooms were clean and modern, location is excellent but most notably the service was exceptional. They went above and beyond to cater to our needs and really left an impression. Would recommend this to anyone visiting Hechingen!
I had the pleasure of staying at Hotel am Schlossplatz in May 2025, and it was an outstanding experience. The location is unbeatable—right in the heart of Hechingen, within easy walking distance to everything. The host was incredibly welcoming and made me feel like part of the family during my time in Germany. Her restaurant recommendations were top-notch and truly enhanced my stay. The hotel itself has recently undergone a renovation and now features a sleek, modern design that adds to its comfort and charm. I would highly recommend Hotel am Schlossplatz to anyone visiting the area.
The worst place I’ve stayed. Tiny room, unusable small bathroom. The entire hotel stinks of smoke, and the front desk was unmanned when we arrived (within posted checkin hours). Woke up to construction happening in the hallway outside my room - a full on event, with metalworking going on, etc. Louder than an engine, outside my door. Avoid!
