Hotel am Schützenberg

Check-in stops at 6pm, so if you arrive after, you'll have to go round the back to call a number. Bit weird but other than that great room. BEWARE! You CANNOT see the castle from the hotel. "Castle View" is just clipbait! Nevertheless, the old part of the town is not far away. Gotha is beautiful and definitely worth a visit.

Middle in the centrum, Parking lot is available. The rooms are really big, many of the even with cooking place, refrigator, water Boiler. All rooms are very clean, and the staff is very polite. Breakfast also great, I was here many times, and come evety time back when i go to Gotha

I was there with a group of colleagues. We almost all had very big rooms, except one, which was terrible and very loud. Unfortunately we had several communication problems with the staff, which was NOT due to the language. One room was not booked correctly, but they did not help us whatsoever to solve the problem. We wanted to cancel another room and they told us, it was not possible; Although it was but we had to do it ourselves through the booking website. In general we felt like they always told us nothing was possible and it was our "fault", to us they were really unfriendly and not service oriented. They didn't even ask us how our state was when we left, which should be a basic question in an hotel.
