Hotel Amano Eastside

Had a nice 2 night stay at hotel amano while on a business trip. Clean, modern hotel. Nice smelling bath products (similar to Aesop). Convenient location to river, sites, and train station. When I got back to my room the first night however, I was very surprised by the loud club music from my room. i was just one floor down and directly under the rooftop bar. there was NO way that I could have slept well with that noise. I went down to the front desk right away and asked for a new room. They were very happy to move me to another room as far away as possible from the rooftop bar and then I had no problems at all. But do beware about this for the non-party animals! You may want to request this when you book because if other rooms are full you will be stuck with thumping music all nights. Thanks for accommodating!

Room was small but clean and convenient — great for couples. The best part was the front desk staff: super friendly and very helpful. Would recommend!

Don’t pay for this. I’m struggling to put into words how disappointing my most recent stay at this hotel was. None of the many people bringing up unbearably loud music are exaggerating. The concept of paying for a good night of sleep is being thrown out of the window completely here. Sadly, bringing this up with the staff doesn’t help. This hotel seems to be happy to prioritize running parties over offering the hotel’s guests the bare minimum you would expect from paying for a room. And this is not even a cheap hotel. Are you not ashamed?
