Hotel Ambassador

Very nice and clean place, nice Mountain Views if facing the front, but it’s also a little loud (traffic noise). The staff was amazing, Ariel at the desk even helped me setup my car rental nearby. He and every staff I dealt with were amazing. Hoping to stay here again soon.

Besides it being small crappy rooms with squeaky beds I experienced credit card fraud from my stay. It was the only time I used my credit card in San Jose, guaranteed. When we were on the chairs in the lobby in the morning waiting for our taxi to take us to the airport (we stayed one night after coming in from the west coast), the lady at the front desk asked us if we we just arriving, or departing. We told her we were on our way back to Canada. Three days after returning home, purchases in San Jose started to occur, one of them at Pizza Hut across the street from the Hotel. I've just made my claim with card company and will be getting a new card shortly. Don't stay in this hotel. It's garbage anyway and too far from the airport.

Bring your own towels. I got charged $10 for a little wash towel. They thought I stole it. I ended up returning it next visit anyway. Breakfast menu is same day after day. Smelly unit 609 no refund or apologies from staff! ‘70’s decor, and rude staff at front desk namely the older lady. No respect for people! Was very rude to my family. No hot water at the sink, and shower pressure is a joke. The cleaning crew, and kitchen help are the best however. Other than that, hope your experience is better!
