Hotel Ambica is a well located Hotel in Katra..very good for family. Good food and hygiene...well done rooms...very good management and staff. Courteous...and caring. Management and staff always do their best to make stay as well as visit to Bhavan comfortable..have a free drop facility upto Main gate of Bhavan...besides guiding ...how to collect yatra parchi (darshan batch) at Yatra Niwas...stayed here many times.
We stayed here for 2 nights. And we had 3 rooms. One booked through State Bank of India and another one was normal room. Floor 3 is dedicated for SBI. Difference between the 2 types of rooms is huge. SBI rooms are pretty basic and the service provided for those rooms is pretty basic s well. The room and service for the other type of room is pretty good. Breakfast buffet is pretty good with good amount of options. The garden at the back of the hotel os pretty well maintained.
Disappointing Experience – Not Recommended I recently stayed at Hotel Ambica in Katra with my wife and baby, and unfortunately, the experience was far from satisfactory. The hotel staff was uncooperative and lacked basic professionalism. When we requested additional water for our baby, we were rudely told that only two water bottles are provided per day, regardless of the circumstances. This is unacceptable, especially when traveling with an infant. We stayed for two nights, and on the day of our departure, our bus was scheduled for 6:30 PM. We politely requested an extension of a few hours, considering we had a small baby with us. However, the staff refused to help, stating we must check out by 12 PM or pay half the room rent. There was no empathy or willingness to assist, which reflects poorly on their sense of hospitality. Due to their rigid attitude, we were forced to check out by 12:30 PM and spend several uncomfortable hours waiting with our baby. The staff showed no concern for the needs of guests traveling with children. Overall, the hospitality was extremely poor, and I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, especially families. Also, beware — many of the positive reviews on Google appear misleading. Please don't rely on them when making your decision.
