Hotel American Dinesen

My wife and I spent two days at the Hotel American Dinesen in Venice, and we could not have been happier with our experience. The front desk is exceptionally friendly and helpful, making dinner reservations for us each of the two nights we were there. The included breakfast, especially the coffee is excellent! The location was perfect for us, and the other guests we met were all delightful. Book this hotel with confidence!!

Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The room was very nice, clean, and very well maintained. The location is nice in that it's easy to walk or take a ferry to the busy areas, but it's not in an over-crowded or busy area itself.

We loved our stay here! The historic building is nicely renovated and our room was very comfortable. Lots of outlets and charging ports, comfortable, quality, bedding, and a rain shower, were welcome touches. Our room had 3 doors leading to a small corner balcony overlooking the canal. The views were lovely! Being located further away from St Mark’s or Rialto gave us a more quiet, neighborhood experience, yet the walk to St Mark’s was only 15-20 minutes. The service was great from everyone we interacted with. Breakfast was much nicer than expected with a large selection of hot and cold items to choose from. The perk we didn’t realize we would appreciate so much was the private dock in front of the hotel where we were able to be picked up and dropped off by water taxi, eliminating the need to trek to and from a vaporetto station with our luggage. This was especially convenient when leaving at 6:30am for the airport. We would definitely stay here again!
